The lines were super long, but luckily we found a work-around that involved a tour of private state rooms
Happy about getting into the tour
A walk around the grounds before our tour
Beautiful mama and the palace
it's almost...
... a panorama
It was truly a spectacular place. I didn't really know what to expect, but the whole place was phenomenal, decadent, grand, awe-inspiring...
Meandering through the gardens
Front courtyard
Getting ready for the tour in a room with a weird sort of chandelier
Really neat clock in one of the staterooms
So incredibly opulent
A roll-top desk for the King: beautiful wood inlays, mechanical switches, and secret drawers
Ornate wood panels
Old thermometer
Stately state room
Dining room
Huge crowds outside the state rooms looking in... soon enough we shall join them and be rushed through the public rooms
Grand staircase
Opera hall
Chandeliers in the theater, they still do concerts there
Hall of Mirrors, not at all crowded
Beautiful
Just a bed canopy, tbd
Even the less stately beds are still super ornate
Looking out onto the gardens
Napkin decorating at its best
Back in the gardens looking around
Dramatic sky
Back in the happiest country in the world
